Read here (thank you Huffington Post College) for eight inspiring stories of 9 students across the country that found ways to give back to their communities and their campuses. Among the volunteers there is an art activist in NYC, student tech-supporters, a family helper, a backpacker that offers his help in Latin America, a rally organizer that protests proposed budget cuts, a student who raises money to help a neighborhood community in Chicago, a Braille teacher, a student who raised $9,000 for starving children in Kenya, and finally, a student that helps “rebuild” her community through the Sustainable Cities Initiative.
This is food for thought for all of the high school and college students out there who would like to volunteer and give back during a time of need. These extraordinary students are setting a fabulous example for students nationwide; get out there and help!
